Privacy Policy

• Your employer or support organization never sees your answers, your roadmap, or your questions.
• In the current sample experience, your answers and progress are stored only in your browser on this device.
• Questions you send to the AI guide are transmitted to our AI provider to generate a response.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Information you enter. Your state, questionnaire answers, checked-off steps, and anything you type into the AI guide. This can include sensitive details about a death, family relationships, and assets, please share only what you need to.

Organization information. For pilot enrollment: organization name, contact name, work email, size, and notes.

Technical information. Basic request and error logs needed to operate and secure the service.

In the current sample experience, your state selection, questionnaire answers, and progress are stored in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. They are not uploaded to an EZstate account. Clearing your browser data, or using the "Start over" button, removes them. Anyone with access to your device and browser profile can see them.

When you use "Ask your EZstate Guide," the text of your question, the step you are viewing, and your selected state are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. Please do not include Social Security numbers, account numbers, passwords, or full medical records in your messages.

Employers, HR teams, and support organizations receive aggregate, non-identifying information only, for example, that a code was redeemed. They do not receive your identity, your answers, your roadmap, your questions, or any indication of which specific employee or member used the service. We will not confirm to an organization whether a named individual has used EZstate.

• To generate and display your personalized roadmap and guidance.
• To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
• To respond to pilot inquiries and support requests.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

We share information only with service providers who help us run EZstate (hosting, AI model providers, email), under contracts limiting their use of it; and when required by law or to protect safety and rights.

Locally stored answers remain on your device until you clear them. Pilot inquiry details are kept as long as needed for the pilot relationship. You can request deletion of information we hold about you by emailing privacy@ezstate.app.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to appeal a denial. Email privacy@ezstate.app and we will respond within the time your law requires. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

EZstate uses only the storage necessary to keep your progress and session working. We do not use advertising trackers.

EZstate is intended for adults 18 and older in the United States and is not directed to children. If you access it from outside the U.S., understand that information is processed in the U.S.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. To report a security concern or ask a privacy question, email privacy@ezstate.app. We will post material changes to this policy here with a new effective date.
